This site (sovereigntybychoice.com) is operated by bayata B.V. as part of the bayata Nexus™ product line. Processing is aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (AVG/GDPR) and the Dutch Telecommunications Act, consistent with bayata.nl privacy statement.

Data we process

  • Identity and contact details you submit (name, company, work email, jurisdiction, message).
  • Technical metadata from hosting and TLS (e.g. IP range, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.
  • Email delivery metadata when we respond or route your message via our mail infrastructure.
  • Responding to inquiries (contract / pre-contract and legitimate interest in operating the product).
  • Consent where you opt in to marketing or non-essential communications.
  • Legal obligation where retention of business records is required.

Retention

Data is kept for the duration of the commercial relationship and applicable statutory periods (typically up to 7 years for financial and contract-related records where applicable), unless a shorter period applies by law.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability where the GDPR applies. You may lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch DPA). For subject-access requests, contact privacy@bayata.nl.

Processors and transfers

Core systems are hosted with EU or adequacy-approved arrangements. Where subprocessors operate outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) are used. Operators such as Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Stripe, and certified hosting partners may be involved as described on bayata.nl.

Security

We use TLS in transit, access controls, and supplier reviews consistent with ISO 27001-aligned practices.

We may update this page; the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be reflected here.
